How you know that a person has died

• The person will not respond to any command like “Can you hear me?”.
• The person will not be breathing.
• The person will have no pulse.
• The person’s eyes will be fixed in one direction; they may be opened or closed.
• The person may lose control of his bladder or bowels.
• The person will be making no movements at all.
• The person’s mouth may be open and his/her jaw may be slack.
